When you look at the progress of Virgin Galactic and see the ambitions of China and India in the quest for space exploration, humanity will continue to the stars. It just looks like NASA will be a smaller player in the grand scheme of it all.
Is this a bad thing? In the short term, absolutely. But in the longer term I think it will get the rest of the globe and private industry to jump on the bandwagon. And if Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic is a success, you can bet on it.
